Emerging Technologies - a new project for 2009 2010

The aim of this project is to work with colleagues in schools to develop, test and evaluate new technologies and then to share the findings with colleagues across Sefton. It is based on the premise that we have all seen the potential in a new piece of hardware or software, but because we haven't had the time, money, energy etc, the idea soon dies. Not this time. Unlike most CLC projects this will be school, rather than Centre, based.

How will it work?

You are curious about using new technology to improve the quality of learning in your area of responsibility. You complete the simple summary overleaf and email it to us. We will then do an initial assessment, investigating the most appropriate technologies.

We will work with a panel of colleagues to determine which projects should be developed, based on the probable impact on learning, the ease with which the project could be shared around Sefton and the project's ability to deliver value for money.

We will allocate one of our team to work with you to create a project plan which will have the following stages.
